Bill is a partner and head of the firm’s Trademark Group. He focuses his practice on trademark, trade dress, copyright, internet, and unfair competition law. Bill advises multi-national corporations on the procurement and enforcement of intellectual property rights, including trademark adoption, clearance, registration, and protection. Bill has earned the confidence of some of the world’s most successful and prominent corporations and, as a result, is entrusted with trademark matters for some of the world’s most famous brands. In fact, he oversees the trademark portfolio of a global pharmaceutical and chemical enterprise with some forty thousand employees in over sixty countries.

Bill represents clients in a wide range of industries, including the fashion, art, chemical, cosmetic, dietary supplement, sports, entertainment, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, technology, and textile industries. Bill has extensive experience before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and has an excellent record on appeal. He is also actively engaged in enforcing the rights of copyright owners in and to their original works of authorship. Bill also represents clients in federal court trademark and copyright litigation.

Bill has lectured on registering trademarks before the New York County Lawyers’ Association and the New York Bar Association. He has authored articles for the eWorldBusiness Law Report and the ITMA Review. He is an active member of The Pharmaceutical Trade Marks Group (PTMG), the International Trademark Association (INTA), and is consistently recognized by Legal Media Group’s (LMG) Trademarks Expert Guides as one of “The World’s Leading Lawyers Chosen by Their Peers”.

In his free time, Bill enjoys spending time with his family, Longhorn football, jiu-jitsu, and golf.
