Kimberly A. Klibert, partner, is a trademark attorney with significant experience in all phases of trademark clearance, prosecution and maintenance before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

She regularly conducts trademark searches and drafts opinions regarding the availability and registrability of trademarks, counsels clients regarding registration requirements in the U.S., drafts co-existence agreements, consent agreements, and license agreements, and conducts intellectual property due diligence. Her intellectual property practice focuses on trademark, trade dress, copyright, internet, unfair competition, licensing, and advertising law, and she assists clients in managing their domestic and international trademark portfolios through clearance, prosecution, licensing, opposition and cancellation proceedings, and enforcement.

Kim regularly works on trademark matters outside the U.S., prosecuting foreign trademark applications and working to successfully maintain international trademark portfolios. She counsels clients and manages an international IP docket in a wide range of industries, including consumer products, toys, technology, hedge funds, international fashion, cosmetics, food and beverage, transportation, and pharmaceuticals.

Kim has been in practice for over a decade. Prior to joining Epstein Drangel, she worked in-house at a major telecommunications company and a boutique IP firm.

Kim holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Loyola College in Baltimore, Maryland, a Master of Arts degree from the University of the Arts, London, and a Juris Doctor from New England School of Law, where she was an associate editor for the New England School of Law Journal of International and Comparative Law.

Kim is admitted to practice in New York, and is an active member of International Trademark Association (INTA), the Women’s Bar Association of New York (WBASNY), where she is on the Solo Practice and Small Law Firm Committee, and the New York City Bar Association, where she is on the Committee for the Advancement of Women in the Profession of Law and the current Chair of the Women in Intellectual Property subcommittee.
