Jodi McLane

Jodi is Senior Counsel at the firm and an experienced IP attorney having served both large and small clients in a wide range of industries. She has been a strategic partner helping companies build and manage their intellectual property portfolios through both transactional work and litigation. She has litigated in various District Courts, the TTAB, PTAB, and before the Federal Circuit.

A registered patent attorney, her experience includes working closely with companies in the medical device, thermodynamic, aeronautic, luxury brands, beauty, toy, packaging and software fields. She prides herself on getting to know her clients’ business objectives and helping them utilize Intellectual Property to achieve their goals.

Throughout her career, Jodi has participated in encouraging the next generation of students to consider the unique combination of engineering/science and law. She taught Intellectual Property law as an adjunct college professor at Worcester Polytechnic, co-founded the woman in science and engineering program (WISE) to encourage middle-school girls to take up STEM careers, taught mock-trial for many years to middle-schoolers, and has been an active member in the Women’s Impact Network (WIN), a women-led philanthropic organization committed to the continuous advancement of women in STEM. Jodi is also a Board Member of the Governance Committee of the Providence Children’s Museum.

In her free time, Jodi enjoys sailing and boating with friends.
