For the last thirteen years, Peter’s practice has focused, almost exclusively, on the prosecution and defense of consumer class actions.
He has experience litigating in state and federal courts throughout the country on behalf of consumers, corporations, and corporate officers in variety of high-stakes, complex matters including: class actions, multi-district litigation, federal/state regulatory actions and investigations, arbitrations, and advertising challenges brought before industry self-regulatory organizations. Peter has particular experience in actions involving direct response advertising, as well as the advertising of dietary supplements and cosmetics. From 2015-2017 he was included on the list of Southern California “Rising Stars” in Class Actions by Super Lawyers Magazine published by Thomson Reuters.
Peter graduated from the University of Notre Dame and earned his law degree from Pepperdine University School of Law. Before beginning his practice, Peter served as judicial extern to the Honorable Marjorie O. Rendell of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He has been a contributor to “Advertising Disputes & Litigation and Consumer Protection Committees’ Recent Litigation Developments” – a publication by the American Bar Association Section of Antitrust Law, which summarizes the latest court decisions and filings affecting advertising law.
Peter is a member of the state bar of California and is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Central, Eastern, Northern, and Southern Districts of California, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
