Sarah Cohen, former Assistant General Counsel of Tough Mudder, joined Epstein Drangel LLP in January 2013. Sarah's practice includes managing intellectual property prosecution; overseeing all aspects of anti-counterfeiting and trademark enforcement; handling design clearance and style name clearance; negotiating licensing and sponsorship agreements; reviewing product labeling, advertising, and point of sale materials; and resolving domain name disputes. Prior to going in house, Sarah spent 5 years at Arent Fox and Greenberg Traurig.

Epstein Drangel obtained a comprehensive preliminary injunction for its client CJ Product to protect their rights in PILLOW PETS intellectual property. Judge Mauskopf of the EDNY, blocked infringing use of ten copyrighted plush designs and all use of PILLOW PETS as a trademark, domain name and even Google Adwords.

Epstein Drangel took part in a search and seizure operation in Ocean City, Maryland. Ocean City police, along with the Worcester County Sheriffs Department, Maryland State Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation entered 24 boardwalk stores and seized a sizable amount of counterfeit/pirated products including unauthorized ANGRY BIRDS t-shirts.

Epstein Drangel lead a team of investigators and U.S. Marshals to seize a large number of pirated ANGRY BIRDS plush toys from a manufacturer in Houston, Texas. The manufacturer was supplying pirated ANGRY BIRDS plush toys to a large number of fairs, carnivals and amusement parks. Rovio obtained a search and seizure order from the United States District Court in Houston Texas. The manufacturer has consented to a preliminary injunction against further manufacture and sale of the pirated Angry Birds plush toys during the pendency of the action.
